Alcohol in our products, particularly fatty alcohols like cetyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol, serves a beneficial purpose. Unlike drying alcohols, fatty alcohols are derived from natural sources like coconut or palm oil and are used to help soften, smooth, and condition your hair and skin. They also help stabilize and thicken formulations, improving the texture and performance of products like our shampoo and conditioner bars, daily moisturizer, and serums.

These types of alcohols do not dry out your hair or skin; instead, they work to enhance the moisturizing properties of the other natural ingredients in our formulations.
