Why do your shampoo bars contain iron oxides, titanium dioxide, and silica?Updated 8 months ago
Our shampoo bars contain iron oxides, titanium dioxide, and silica for various beneficial purposes. Iron oxides and titanium dioxide provide color and UV protection, while silica helps with texture and absorbency. Regarding titanium dioxide, it's used in a very small amount—less than 1% of our entire formula, specifically for the naturally derived pink color in our Vanilla Coconut bars. This ingredient is safe in our products as it is not in nanoparticle form, meaning the molecules are too large to be absorbed by your skin. It is also worth noting that all our other shampoo and conditioner bars do not contain titanium dioxide if you prefer to avoid it altogether.
